AudioConverter is a precursor to LiveShow, a music content management application designed by bootleg traders for bootleg traders.

AudioConverter is designed to work with Mac OS X 10.3 (it might work with OS X 10.2 but I don't have a Jaguar machine on which to test it).

AudioConverter is a small utility application that allows users to convert audio formats AIFF and WAV to lossless formats SHN and FLAC, both of which are widely used by bootleg traders to easily trade and share audio files over the internet without losing audio quality and decreasing filesize.

Users can also convert SHN and FLAC files back to AIFF or WAV, as well as providing checksum utilities for both SHN and FLAC files.

Much thanks to Jared Breski for his wonderful contribution of an application icon. Thanks, Jared! Much appreciated.

Full drag and drop support now implemented! You can drag SHN or FLAC files over the text box in the Decode tab and Checksum tab, AIFF or WAV files in the text box in the Encode tab, and .md5 and .txt files in the Checksum tab.

Haven't implemented much error checking in the types of files that you drop, so if you drop AIFF files on the Decode tab and try to decode them, shorten or flac will give you some strange errors. I will be improving the error checking on that in the future.

You can now drop files (AIFF, WAV, SHN, FLAC, md5, and txt) onto AudioConverter's icon (either in the Dock or through the Finder) and it will add the files to the appropriate tab.

Still trying to implement drag and drop directly onto the window itself. Not working for some reason.
